In 1989 TRC was asked to remodel the old Seabright Fruit Cannery to house the NHS company along with other businesses which turned the entire expanse into a small business park. Richard Novak founder of the NHS company that introduced the Road Rider skateboard wheels and a giant worldwide skateboard industry was born right here in Santa Cruz. TRC's Company grew exponentially working for Novak who kept the TRC crews busy for nearly 2-years. Tom Ralston says "The work at the Seabright Cannery was a bona-fide springboard for growth of the TRC Company, which went from 4 full time employees in 1989 to 20 full time employees in 1991".
